Kim attended law school while working as a supervisor at Consumers Energy, and her first legal position was in Consumers' legal department as a real estate and right of way attorney. In private practice, Kim enjoys serving the consumer bankruptcy, family law, estate planning, probate and residential real estate, needs of the residents of Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, Shiawassee, Jackson, Ionia, and surrounding counties.
In 2015, Kim was recognized by the Ingham County Bar Association for her pro bono and low bono service to Legal Services of South Central Michigan, and she still serves as a low bono panel attorney for the Lansing and Battle Creek locations.
Kim's clients describe her as approachable and down-to-earth, with a practical approach to solving legal problems.
